Underwriter

Work Schedule: Hybrid

Location: Atlanta, GA

The Brinkman Group's client seeks a full-time Underwriter to join their team. This role involves developing and maintaining a profitable book of business through strong relationships with agents and stakeholders. The Underwriter assesses high-quality submissions, negotiates terms, and evaluates risks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Price policies, evaluate risk, and recommend coverage adjustments.

- Develop long-term relationships with agents to grow a profitable book of business.

- Manage internal and external relationships to ensure superior service.

- Analyze submissions according to guidelines, referring or declining excessive risks.

- Collaborate with colleagues on targeted accounts and cross-sell opportunities.

Requirements:

- Five years of underwriting experience

- Strong analytical and negotiating skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly automated environment.

- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite.
